Dynamic enterprise leader with over 25 years of experience leading corporate and competitive strategy, commercial operations, innovation and step-change P&L delivery. President of Astrazeneca UK from just before the COVID crisis, I’ll write some notes when I can find the time :-)
From 2015-2020 I led Astrazeneca’s $5.5bn Respiratory & Immunology Franchise to a strong and consistent return to growth (20% GR Q1 2020), now set on a clear path to industry leadership. My teams led late stage development (franchise, portfolio, program design and product lifecycle investment decision making) and commercialisation across access, medical, launch and commercial P&L delivery.
I have enjoyed a dynamic career of 16 years at Astrazeneca delivering consistent high performance in business unit, country leadership, above-country and Global franchise roles of increasing complexity and seniority with a situational focus on turnarounds & restructuring and driving launches & growth.
Before AZ I had deep foundational experiences in corporate and competitive strategy (Monitor Company); technology investment and innovation (Antfactory VC), and operational leadership (British Army). I am passionate about purpose, understanding and confronting reality, decision-making and execution, attracting talent and building high-performing teams in competitive markets.
