About Tilak Mandadi
A versatile and transformative leader, Tilak is the head of corporate strategy for MGM Resorts International. Working closely with the rest of the executive officers and the incredibly talented teams at MGM, he is focused on creating compelling and immersive customer experiences at the intersection of responsible gaming and entertainment, and build new, profitable and sustainable lines of revenue enabled by the convergence of the physical and the digital worlds.
Previously, Tilak was the EVP of Digital, and Chief Technology Officer at Disney overseeing a global team of 7000+ digital, data, operations, technology, creative and product professionals responsible for serving 150M+ annual guests and consumers worldwide across the theme parks, hotels, cruise ships, Disney stores, restaurants, e-commerce, licensing & publishing, games, Disney vacation club properties and the adventures by Disney travel businesses.
Tilak brings a unique blend of commercial, operational and experiential focus to his role, and his teams are defined by their strategic thought leadership, entrepreneurial spirit, frugal and pragmatic innovation, customer focus, execution excellence and business growth orientation.
Tilak is a passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion, early career talent development, women in technology, social responsibility and sustainability. His 2020 Ted talk on empathy in the workplace defined specific steps companies can take to create a highly productive and joyful workplace by making empathy an integral part of the work culture.
Over the course of his executive career, Tilak has very successfully led innovative startups as well as large global organizations across different industries and diverse cultures, including Financial Services, Hospitality, Travel and Entertainment, Retail, Food and Beverage, IT Services, and Energy Trading.
Prior to Disney, Tilak led global Digital Transformation (Cards, Consumer Travel, Banking) at American Express, along with M&A technology diligence. Previously, he held senior leadership roles at FedEx Office (Kinko’s), EC Outlook (a Venrock Ventures startup) and Dell Online and started his career as a technical consultant at AT&T Bell Labs.
Tilak holds a master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Oregon.
