About Shane Bowen

Shane Bowen is the President and Chief Executive Officer for Palamedrix. Prior to co-founding Palamedrix, he was a Senior Director of Scientific Research at illumina, leading the nanofabrication division within the Department of Research and Technology Development. Shane is an inventor of over 150 issued and pending patents. Over his 12+ years at illumina, Shane championed the nanofabrication division of the company, responsible for disruptive innovations such as the patterned flowcell at the heart of the $1000 genome in 2014 and laying the foundation for the $100 genome in 2017. He received his M.S, and Ph.D. from the University of California, San Diego.
