About Preetha Reddy

Dr. Preetha Reddy formally joined Apollo Hospitals as Joint Managing Director in 1989 and five years later, she was elevated as Managing Director of the Group.

In 2014, she was elevated to the position of Executive Vice Chairperson, AHEL. Preetha works closely with the organization’s 8000 clinicians in reviewing global medical advancements.

Preetha Reddy had championed Apollo Hospitals endeavour to be accredited by the prestigious Joint Commission International (JCI), a global gold standard for patient safety and quality improvement for a global healthcare organization. Dr. Preetha Reddy was a Founding Member of the National Quality Council, an organisation that provided the guidelines on quality standards to Indian Hospitals. Under her guidance, teams from Apollo worked with the Government of India in introducing the NABH, a constituent board of the Quality Council of India.

She is the Managing Trustee of the Apollo Hospitals Education Trust. She is a member of the
Indo-US CEOs Forum and the Indo-Malaysia CEOs Forum and has also been nominated Member of the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research.

Dr. Preetha Reddy is a Governing Board Member of XLRI Jamshedpur. Dr. Preetha Reddy is the immediate Past President of the AIMA, an apex body of professional management which facilitates the furtherance of the management profession in the country.

Underscoring Dr. Preetha Reddy’s role in taking high-quality healthcare to patients in India and other emerging markets, the Minneapolis headquartered Medtronic, Inc. Board of Directors invited her as an Independent Director.
