About Patrick Tonks

Excited to be bringing passion, private and third sector experience to support and I hope, add real value in my role as CEO of a very special UK Charity.

I have a track record of achievement in both the private and not for profit sectors. My 25 years private sector experience was largely in leadership roles in Business Development and Marketing but also covered Finance, HR, Legal, Change Management and perhaps most importantly, getting the best from a team. I am now using these skills and experiences in the Charity and Not for Profit sector.

I made a deliberate and personal decision, some years ago, to work to add value and provide service in the Third Sector in an organisation where I have strong connection with the core goals and values. Having worked for just over 3 years in an amazing childrens charity, developed and delivered a major change Programme for a Cancer charity, I am now using my own personal experience to help build and grow the work of the Childhood Eye Cancer Trust (CHECT).
