About Michael R. Robinson

Michael R. Robinson, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist who also completed 3 years of post-doctoral/ fellowship training at the National Eye Institute (NEI). After his fellowship training, he was appointed as the Chief of Consultative Services Section at the NEI and he developed and patented novel drug delivery systems for treating anterior and posterior segment diseases over an 8-year period. Dr. Robinson joined Allergan in 2005 and given his broad clinical and research background, Dr. Robinson has served in multiple roles at Allergan including Global Project Team Lead/Clinical Program Lead on numerous projects and holds over 25 patents. Currently, he is the Therapeutic Area Head, Ophthalmology, and his team’s main focus is developing new products for unmet needs in eye care.
