About Matthieu Leclerc-Chalvet
There are similarities in running long distances and professional life, at least for me: always pushing to the next milestone, encouraging each other, meeting great people on the way. The finish line? Always welcome, until the next goal!
Passionate about innovative medical technology, I set my professional life on a mission to explore every aspect of it.
My biomedical engineering background is put to use to make sense of the new technologies coming up and match pertinent products with today’s healthcare professionals’ needs.
I flexed my people management agility internationally in Anglo-Saxon companies of all sizes, from start-up to Blue Chip. Through numerous mergers, I converted my taste for doing things differently into change leadership.
I can sense the market needs and to deepen my instinctive analysis, I am researching for my PhD how and why all these seemingly great innovations are not adopted more quickly or more widely.
Major innovations that I dealt with, many world-first:
Deep Learning based, zero-click auto-contouring software for radiotherapy (Mirada Medical/DLCExpert, 2017)
Quantitative imaging for wound assessment (Leniomed/Scanoskin, 2013)
Ultrasound-visible embryo-transfer catheter (Smiths Medical/Wallace SureView, 2009)
Autologous cell harvesting device for epidermis reconstruction (Clinical Cell Culture/ReCell, 2005)
Ultra-thin cryoprobe for minimally invasive cancer ablation (Galil Medical/SeedNet, 2003)
Braided radioactive seeds for brachytherapy (Amersham/RapidStrand, 2001)
Liquid oxygen system for home long-term oxygen therapy (Mallinckrodt/Helios, 1999)
AutoCPAP for obstructive sleep apnea (NellcorPuritanBennett/REM+auto, 1995)
Ambulatory polysomnograph for obstructive sleep apnea diagnostic (NellcorPuritanBennett/Minisomno, 1994)
Microprocessor-driven intensive care ventilator (PuritanBennett/PB7200, 1993)
Continuous Intra Arterial Blood Gas analyzer (PuritanBennett/PB3300 ‘FoxLab’, 1992)
First Digital Radiography system (Fuji/AC1, 1991)
