About Jon Moore

Jon is a biochemist and cell biologist with 20 years of operational and scientific leadership experience in industry, mostly in oncology. Jon is an Operating Partner at Advent Life Sciences and is a co-founder of Epitopea and also the remyelination start-up Pheno Therapeutics.

Prior to joining Advent, Jon served as CSO of gene editing tools and services company, Horizon Discovery, and Head of Biology at Vernalis Research. At both organisations his focus was on leading drug discovery projects, early-stage discovery collaborations and in and out-licensing key technologies.

Jon also has extensive postdoctoral experience working with Tim Hunt at Cancer Research UK and Sally Kornbluth at Duke University. He holds a PhD from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne.
