Research direction and academic achievements:
Development of human genomics, gene chips and high-throughput sequencing technologies. In recent years, he has devoted himself to developing the clinical application of high-throughput sequencing technology to challenge difficult medical samples, such as blood, saliva, CTCs and cfDNA. He has published more than 180 academic papers and one monograph; has 23 international patents. Industry experience:
1. Worked at Affymetrix, led the development of technologies and products for large-scale genome genotyping (SNP genotyping), laid the foundation for genome-wide association research, and provided a powerful tool for large-scale human genetic disease research.
2. He used to be the senior technical director of Illumina. As the core R&D personnel of Illumina’s initial BeadArray technology, he led the team to complete the US FDA clinical certification of the world’s first high-throughput sequencing platform (Illumina MiSeqDx). A major milestone in the clinical application of throughput sequencing technology.
