About Jacqueline Dunkley-Bent

Jacqueline Dunkley-Bent is Chief Midwifery Officer NHS England. She is an experienced midwife, manager and lecturer who has worked at a local, national and strategic level to develop and improve maternity services. She is visiting Professor at Kings College London and London South Bank University and has a clinical background in nursing and midwifery, trauma counselling and alternative therapies. Jacqueline is a national and international speaker, writer and healthcare advisor and continues to work clinically as a midwife. She is currently a member of: the the BJM editorial board and the Women of the Year management committee. She is a midwifery ambassador for the charity Saying Goodbye and an advisor to other charities.
