About Giuseppina Caligiuri

I work on the regulation of the blood/vessel interface by the homophilic receptor CD31 and wish to develop clinical applications for cardiovascular and chronic inflammatory diseases.
The work of the past 20 years has lead to the discovery of promising molecules for systemic therapy, biomimetic coating of arterial stents, and molecular imaging of inflammation/thrombosis. In parallel I have also developed a novel diagnostic test for testing potential therapeutic indications/drug monitoring and all the products have been protected by patents with Inserm-Transfert and licensed to Tridek One, a pharmaceutical biotech aimed at developing therapeutic agents to face micro vascular pathogenic inflammation.
