About Chris Cashwell

Chris Cashwell serves as the CEO and founder of Azra AI. He formed the company with a seasoned team of healthcare technology experts using the healthcare assets of the company formerly known as Digital Reasoning in Jan. 2022. For over 20 years, Cashwell has led large and small healthcare information technology companies. He recently served as the General Manager and Senior Vice President of Digital Reasoning Health. Previously, as the Chief Executive Officer for Lincor Solutions, he was responsible for strategy and operations for global digital patient engagement technology solutions. Cashwell also led Nuance Healthcare’s cross-functional strategies to bring new Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology and products to the market as head of emerging technologies. At Nuance, he oversaw products that continue to impact quality reporting, automated coding, and computer-assisted physician documentation across healthcare workflows. Cashwell is experienced in developing and increasing revenues by expanding use cases for Natural Language Processing (NLP) and AI technologies in healthcare. He was one of the first Healthcare Information Technology (HIT) leaders to commercialize NLP technology with unstructured clinical data to discover undocumented diagnostic and quality measures. As a global leader in GE Capital and GE Commercial Finance, Cashwell led sales, strategy and productivity across multiple healthcare business segments. He was responsible for a salesforce of over 4,000 people and handled complex, multi-party transactions. In addition, Cashwell was responsible for onboarding new hires in healthcare and overseeing them through the internal GE Six Sigma certification process. Cashwell is well-known in the HIT realm for his expertise in strategy, development and commercialization, leading to numerous consulting partnerships with Fortune 200 companies and within the private equity world.
