About Ben Mabey

I want to build systems (both technical & people systems!) that make the world a better place.

I have worked at all stages of creating machine learning products. From the initial framing of the problem and task, to dataset collection and generation, to research (feature engineering, model selection, and custom algorithm development), to moving the research into production and maintaining and improving both the models and systems… and to building the teams that build said systems!

It turns out that building the organizational systems that build machine learning systems is pretty challenging but also quite rewarding!
