About Verseon

Verseon was founded in 2002 to create a better, more scalable process for designing and developing new drugs. Our goal is to continue to develop drugs for the large number of currently untreatable or poorly treated conditions.

An “inverse Moore’s Law” plagues the pharmaceutical industry. Since 1950, the cost per new drug has doubled every nine years, and the total number of genuinely novel molecular entities being approved continues to drop. Truly novel medicines are increasingly rare, and we need them more than ever.

We chose to tackle the industry’s productivity crisis at the most fundamental level. Over the past two decades, our team has developed fundamental scientific advancements in physics- and chemistry-based modeling, integrated synthesis and testing, and optimization via machine learning. Our platform systematically generates a steady stream of new drug candidates that cannot be found with any other current method.
