University of Edinburgh
I was born in Glasgow and raised in Scotland and North America. In my current role I am a Professor of Cardiology at the University of Edinburgh, a British Heart Foundation Senior Clinical Research Fellow, and a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. I am also lead the University of Edinburgh’s Health and Social Care Data Driven Innovation team. My research group brings together researchers from the Usher Institute of Population Health Sciences and Informatics and the BHF Centre for Cardiovascular Science. We aim to use linked regional and national healthcare data in Scotland to develop new approaches for the diagnosis and risk stratification of individuals with heart disease, and to evaluate their impact on care and outcomes in our practice.
