The retina contains information about the entire body, and many diseases can be diagnosed simply by looking in the retina. There are too few retina specialists, ophthalmologists, and optometrists in the world to see the billions of patients who need to be seen. Therefore Artificial Intelligence (AI) is necessary. AI reaches many more patients and is as good as human experts at detecting several retina diseases.

We use AI to look at the RETINA and understand the status of one’s HEALTH. We have built a cloud-based AI platform that diagnoses diseases such as diabetic retinopathy from pictures of the retina; other ophthalmic disorders in this category include macular degeneration and glaucoma. Conditions that are not primarily ophthalmic can also be detected in the retina: Kidney disease, Alzheimer’s disease, liver disease, anemia, autoimmune diseases, diabetes, and the risk of developing heart disease.
